Musical Moments
Two moments matter most: your walk down the aisle and your first dance.
Choose a song you both truly love or one that means something to you.
Everything else (signing, cake cutting, entrances) is there to
set the mood for each moment.
Can’t decide? No stress—we’re happy to choose something that fits your vibe.
Live performance or original recording?
We can perform your chosen song live, or play the original track—whatever feels right to you. A live version won’t be exactly the same as the recording, but we’ll match the feel and the key you prefer. If you’d like the original artist, we’ll cue and play the studio version at the perfect time.
Need a hand? Share a couple of favourite artists or songs and the mood you’re going for; we’ll guide you and make it easy.
Music tips for each moment
Aisle Song
One song works beautifully, or use two—one for the bridesmaids and one for your entrance. We’ll time the music so your walk feels calm and graceful (we can loop or trim as needed).
Signing the Papers
While you’re doing the official bits, choose gentle background music. Pick two songs just in case the paperwork takes a little longer.
Ceremony Exit
Go upbeat and choose something that starts with a bang. This is the “we’re married!” moment—let the celebration begin.
Reception Entrance
Think of your ultimate party song. We usually recommend playing the original track so we can work with your MC and adjust volumes smoothly for the announcements.
Cake Cutting
This one keeps the atmosphere flowing while you cut the cake and take photos. Slow or lively both work—choose what suits your timeline and style.
First Dance
This is your moment. Whether you’ve choreographed steps or want to freestyle, pick a song that feels like the two of you. It’s common to invite your wedding party (and then everyone) onto the floor near the end to kick off the dancing.
Father–Daughter Dance
If you’re including this, consider doing it before your first dance. Then, when your first dance finishes and everyone joins you, the party can lift straight away.
Bouquet & Garter Toss (Optional)
If you’re doing it, keep it playful—choose a fun, cheeky track you can throw to.
Song Suggestions
You’ll find our favourite suggestions below. An asterisk (*) means it’s a song we don’t currently perform live—but we’re very happy to play the original recording for you.
Final reassurance
You don’t need to be a music expert. Tell us what you love (or what you don’t!), and we’ll look after the rest—from timing and cues to smooth fades and perfect entrances.
